In partnership with the Washington State Department of Health, the Health Care Authority (HCA) continues to ensure vaccine policies are grounded in the best available science, despite recent federal-level changes related to vaccines.
There are no changes to Apple Health (Medicaid) hepatitis B vaccine policies. HCA will follow the evidence-based immunization schedule and guidance provided by West Coast Health Alliance, in alignment with trusted national organizations like the American Academy of Pediatrics the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the Infectious Diseases Society of America.
