Get answers to your missed meal and rest breaks questions

This September and October, the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) will hold four virtual sessions to help hospitals comply with the reporting requirements.

Reporting is required under state law, and these free webinars will cover how to file the quarterly, meal and rest break form electronically.

Dates:

• Sept. 24, 2-3 p.m.
• Sept. 25, 10-11 a.m.
• Oct. 1, 2-3 p.m.
• Oct. 2, 10-11 a.m.

The reporting law went into effect in 2024 and is being implemented in phases. Small, rural hospitals must begin complying with the reporting requirement in July. Large hospitals have been reporting employees missed breaks since mid-2024.
