Last week marked a meaningful milestone in our journey toward clinical excellence with WSHA’s inaugural Rural Quality Roundtable held at Summit Pacific Medical Center. This event brought together Chief Nursing Officers and Quality Leaders from seven hospitals for a half day of in-person connection, collaboration, and shared learning.

The roundtable focused on a critical topic: Quality Driven Staffing: Empowering Rural Leaders for Better Care and Workforce Well Being.

There’s truly no substitute for face time with our members in their own space. The energy in the room was inspiring with professionals coming together to support one another, laugh, learn and grow. Attendees explored challenges and solutions, shared best practices, and built relationships that will strengthen rural healthcare across our region. These moments of connection are the foundation of lasting partnerships and meaningful progress.

A heartfelt thank you to Tori Bernier, CNO/COO of Summit Pacific, for hosting this impactful event, providing lunch, and for the insightful tour of the medical center’s new expansion. Your hospitality and leadership made the day unforgettable.

We look forward to many more opportunities to gather, learn, and elevate the quality of care in our communities—together.

Members have the opportunity to attend two more Rural Quality Roundtables scheduled for August 15 and 27, contact meganh@wsha.org or tracyw@wsha.org for more information.
