On Thursday, July 17 from 1-2 p.m. EST, the CMS Innovation Center is hosting an office hour to provide an overview and answer questions about the Wasteful and Inappropriate Service Reduction (WISeR) Model.
Applications to participate in the WISeR Model are due by 11:59 p.m. EST, July 25. Read the request for applications.
The WISeR Model is voluntary and will run from Jan. 1, 2026, to Dec. 31, 2031. It is intended to help reduce clinically unsupported care and ease administrative burden by working with companies experienced in using enhanced technologies to expedite and improve the review process for a pre-selected set of Medicare services that are vulnerable to fraud, waste and abuse. WSHA is working to learn more and you can find additional information about the WISeR Model here. (Katerina LaMarche)
