The University of Washington’s ethics seminar introduces key concepts and debates in clinical bioethics, equipping participants with knowledge and skills to make sound ethical decisions in health care settings. This year’s seminar will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the first three days of the conference Aug. 4-6 and 8 a.m.-noon on Aug. 8.

This year’s conference will include interactive opportunities to practice different methods of case analysis. During small group discussions, clinical ethics experts will guide interprofessional teams in developing concrete recommendations for complex cases, and the “Ask the Experts” discussion at the end of each day will provide an opportunity for participants to ask questions about important and relevant topics in clinical ethics.

The Summer Seminar is open to all health care professionals involved in the care of patients or the education of providers in any discipline.
