Help your team stay ahead of the curve by registering for WSHA’s Aug. 20 webinar reviewing current overdose trends statewide, highlighting practical interventions for reducing overdose deaths, and sharing key resources for hospitals. The webinar is scheduled for 11a.m. to noon and features Liz Wolkin, Acute Care SUD Program Manager at the Washington State Healthcare Authority and Brittany Weiner, Director of Behavioral Health and Opioid Stewardship at WSHA.
International Overdose Awareness Day is held each year on Aug. 31 and serves as a time to promote education about overdose prevention, honor the lives of individuals lost to overdose and identify concrete steps everyone can take to prevent overdoses. Hospital teams are uniquely positioned to work on opioid overdose prevention, and across Washington state, health care professionals are already leading the way to reduce overdose deaths.
