Feedback from hospital members highlighted a strong desire to develop and enhance organizational safety culture and maintain high reliability. In response to that feedback the Washington State Hospital Association is delighted to offer the 2027 DELTA Safety Culture Collaborative, a nine-month virtual learning community designed to help hospitals strengthen safety culture and advance high reliability practices.
Organizations that foster psychological safety, open communication, continuous learning and leadership commitment are best positioned to reduce preventable harm and improve quality outcomes. These environments also strengthen workforce engagement and empower staff to speak up, innovate and improve care. Participants in the DELTA Safety Culture Collaborative will receive tailored support to develop and implement a safety culture improvement project while exploring topics including:
- Psychological safety
- Just culture
- Teamwork and communication
- Leadership commitment
- Learning and improvement
- High reliability principles
- Resilience and continuous improvement
Whether your organization is just beginning its safety culture journey or looking to build on existing success, DELTA Collaborative, WSHA’s clinical quality improvement model offers practical tools, expert guidance and valuable peer-to-peer learning to help accelerate progress.
Sincerely,
Tina Seery
