External Event: Digital Health and AI in the Treatment of Substance Use Disorders

The Behavioral Health Institute is pleased to continue to offer the TeleBehavioral Health Training series, now in partnership with the Northwest Regional Telehealth Resource Center (ntric.org).
Please join us every third Friday each month, January through December 2026, at 11 a.m. — 12 p.m. (PT) for our TeleBehavioral Health Training CME/CEU-accredited 2026 series presentations.
TeleBehavioral Health 2026 continues to explore new ways to enhance quality of care with telebehavioral health for specific patient populations and services. The series also provides information about developing telebehavioral health technologies and applications, and updates on telebehavioral health policy.
TeleBehavioral Health Series Objectives
Upon completion of each activity, attendees should be able to:
- Describe ways that telebehavioral health skills can be tailored to provide care to a variety of patient populations
- Describe methods that can be utilized when providing telebehavioral healthcare while maintaining professional standards of care
- Describe and incorporate current policies with the latest telehealth technologies to provide effective care

Mark Duncan, MD, is an Associate Professor at the University of Washington. Â He has pursued a career at the intersection of mental health and primary care, training in both family medicine and addiction psychiatry. Â He practices at the outpatient psychiatry clinic, the pain clinic, and the Northgate Primary Care clinic. Â He provides virtual consultation through the UW Provider Consultation Line, ADAI’s OUD technical assistance team, and as the educational director of the University of Washington Psychiatry and Addiction Case Conference (UW PACC), a weekly educational webinar and consultation service for WA state. Â He has recently taken on the role of the Director of the Division of Addictions in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Washington.
